Salesforce Developer

Forecasting features for Certinia's Professional Services Automation platform — built natively on Salesforce and used by 1,400+ enterprise customers to plan resources and project financials.

What I did

  • Built backend logic in Apex and customer-facing UIs in Lightning Web Components.
  • Owned features end-to-end: refinement and estimation through to sprint review and release.
  • Wrote Apex unit, integration and Jest tests to keep the platform reliable.
  • Reviewed, manually tested and deployed changes daily via Bitbucket and Jenkins.

Impact

Forecasting is used by clients including Siemens, Thales and Salesforce to process thousands of resource requests each month, improving project margin and utilisation.

THE CHALLENGE

Certinia’s PSA platform serves 1,400+ enterprise customers natively on Salesforce. Resource forecasting had to stay reliable at that scale, deeply integrated with Salesforce’s data model, while handling thousands of requests a month.

THE TECHNICAL SOLUTION

Built and maintained forecasting features end to end — Apex for the business logic, Lightning Web Components for the customer-facing interfaces — owning delivery from refinement and estimation through to release.

KEY BUSINESS OUTCOME

Forecasting functionality now used by enterprise clients including Siemens, Thales and Salesforce, with measurable improvements in project margin and utilisation.
